Direct Billing For Insurance

For the convenience of our massage therapy clients, we are happy to provide direct billing for massage therapy to many insurance companies. If for some reason, we process your insurance claim and it does not go through (declined/maxed out//unable to process), you will be responsible to pay upfront for the full treatment. If you are covered by a company that does not allow direct billing, you will be responsible to pay for your treatments in full, and then submit your receipts yourself for reimbursement.

It is the client’s responsibility to:
o Know if a Doctor’s note is required, if so this would need to be sent to the insurance company directly.
o Find out limits of coverage (i.e. some plans only pay a percentage).
o Find out when the benefits year starts/ends.

Dual Benefits – if you are covered by your own insurance as well as a spouse/partner’s plan, the insurance rule is that you must claim against your own plan first until it’s used up and then you can claim on the alternate plan. If you have a secondary plan that you would like to direct bill to, please contact us prior to your first appointment. We aren’t always able to submit to two plans. In some case the balance must be submitted by the client to their secondary company. There are two exceptions to this:
1. If you have two plans with the same company, and
2. If your secondary plan is Blue Cross, or Green Shield Canada.

My clinic has a prearranged direct billing for several benefit plans with Telus eClaims, ProviderConnect, RWAM, and Medavie Blue Cross, Claimsecure, and Claimsxchange.
